Taigen was born and raised in Washington state.  At the age of 15 he was invited to attend a Youth Rally.  There he heard the gospel of Jesus Christ preached and he repented of his sins and trusted in Christ alone to save him from his sin.  God began to change his life in many ways, and continues to do so today.

After graduation from high school, Taigen went on to complete a BA in Bible as well as an MA in Teaching Bible.  He is currently working on a Doctorate in Pastoral Theology as well.  It was in college that Taigen met Crystal.  They have been happily married since 1998 and were blessed with twins in 2003 named Marshall and Shaylen.

In 2000, Taigen and Crystal moved to Maine where Taigen served as Assistant Pastor at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Scarborough under Pastor Ken Endean.  Then in 2007 God called Taigen to be the Pastor of Heritage Baptist Church.

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, doing household projects, reading, and playing golf.
