Heritage seeks to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ as proclaimed in the Bible.

God created mankind for the purpose of honoring, pleasing, and glorifying Him.  Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

Man’s problem, though, is that he has chosen to glorify himself and disobey God.  This is called sin.  This sin has broken man’s fellowship with God and demands the penalty of death.  Romans 5:12 says, “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin: and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned.”

In spite of man’s sin, God’s infinite love has been shown to us through Jesus Christ.  Romans 5:8 says, “But God (demonstrated) his love for us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Jesus, God in the flesh, died for the sins of mankind to pay the penalty of death for us once for all.  He was resurrected on the third day.  Because of His work He has made reconciliation with God possible for man.  1 Peter 3:18 says, “For Christ also hath suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God.”

In order to be reconciled to God for salvation, man must turn away from his own sin and believe only and completely in the finished work of Jesus Christ, receiving Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.  In Mark 1:15, Jesus said, “…repent ye, and believe the gospel.”  He also said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

We would invite you to turn from your sin and trust only in Jesus Christ to save you from your sins.  You can pray to Him right where you are.  Simply confess your sins to Him, believe in who Jesus is and what He has done for you, and take Jesus Christ as your Savior.
